Fast Braces

Faster, straighter, cleaner

When you decide to get braces in Essex, and you are an adult, you are probably looking for a braces system that will straighten your teeth as quickly as possible. After all, no one wants to spend any longer than is absolutely necessary wearing braces.

At Simply Teeth in Essex, braces systems can straighten your teeth surprisingly quickly, provided your case is only concerned with misalignments and not with issues with your bite, i.e. one jaw not fitting well against the other.

Braces in EssexWe have carefully chosen the braces systems that we offer to provide our patients with the optimum treatments that will fulfil their criteria. These criteria are about value-for-money, speed and efficiency, comfort and discretion.

One system that we have chosen that fulfils all of these criteria is a system called Six Month Smiles.

Speed and efficiency

The main feature of Six Month Smiles is inherent in its name. This system takes between 4 and 9 months, with an average of 6 months, to straighten your teeth. This is much quicker than traditional systems that can take between 1 and 3 years to do the job.

The reason this system of braces in Essex is so fast is that it is designed only to work on the front 6 ‘social’ teeth i.e. the ones that are mostly visible when you are talking and eating. It uses tried and tested alignment mechanics to do its work, but with a twist.

Comfort and discretion

Six Month Smiles are like a much finer version of traditional bracket and wire braces systems. The brackets are much smaller and are made of clear ceramic. The wires are tooth-coloured. This means that the braces blend in with your teeth rather than dominate them, looking more like a piece of jewellery for your pearly whites than an instrument of torture.

As Six Month Smiles aims only to straighten misaligned teeth rather than correct the bite, it requires much gentler forces to do its work, which means less pain for you. And the more petite teeth fixtures are gentler on the mouth too.

Value for money

This system is quicker, so you need fewer, shorter appointments, which saves you money.

New front teeth with braces in Essex

At Simply Teeth, we believe that braces in Essex should offer the best value-for-money for the most discreet appliances that work as quickly as possible. That’s why we carefully select which braces systems we are willing to work with.

If you are an adult who is thinking about having braces then we are sure that we can help you get the straight teeth that you have always dreamed of.

Braces in EssexMost people who would benefit from braces in Essex do not have major problems with their bite. This means that they do not need to have the heavy duty metal train track braces that we still usually associate with teeth straightening.

As well as this, the majority of people only need to worry about getting their front 6 teeth straightened. These are the teeth most on view and are known as the ‘social 6’.

If you only need your 2 centre front teeth straightened then we will probably suggest that the Inman Aligner is the right braces system for you.

How the Inman Aligner works

The Inman Aligner is a removable brace that features nickel titanium coil springs that power 2 bow-shaped metal wires; 1 in front of the teeth, 1 behind them. The inner bow pushes the teeth forwards, while the outer bow pulls them back, creating a squeeze effect to straighten out the teeth.

As these gentle forces are active over a very large range of movement, the Inman Aligner works quickly, usually only taking between 6 and 18 weeks to straighten out your teeth.

The brace is custom-made to fit your teeth, based on impressions taken at Simply Teeth. Once you have your aligner, you need to wear it for 16–20 hours a day in order to complete your treatment on schedule. You can take it out to eat and to brush your teeth, and for important business and social occasions.

You need to come back to Simply Teeth every 2 or 3 weeks for a check-up.

Once your teeth are straight, you will need to wear a retainer for life to keep them that way. We recommend a retainer bonded to the backs of your teeth, where it will remain invisible, or you can choose a removable plastic retainer.

New positions

These days, for patients in Essex, braces can be a discreet and customised method of realigning their teeth. At Simply Teeth, gone are the days of unsightly, uncomfortable metal wires and brackets attached to the fronts of the teeth. Our courses of teeth straightening give you a neat smile in a relatively short amount of time, without spoiling your looks or making you reluctant to enjoy yourself at social occasions during your treatment.

Braces in EssexContemporary techniques

Our up-to-date range of braces come in a variety of forms. We have clear, almost invisible, and tooth-coloured appliances, which have a minimal impact on your appearance while they efficiently improve your dental health. It’s even possible that your colleagues and friends won’t know you’re wearing our braces unless you tell them. Once the course of treatment is completed, your crooked or crowded teeth will be a thing of the past.

A range of improvements

The first step in any treatment is a consultation at our friendly practice in Essex. Braces that are right for you will then be provided by our experienced dentist after careful consideration. It might be just your front teeth that need realignment, if they stick out too much and make biting difficult. Or it might be that you need more extensive treatment applied to your whole set of teeth to bring them into positions that are healthier and put less strain on your jaw.

Looking after your health

Your teeth certainly look better when they are straight. But their are benefits to your dental health too. The risk of gum disease and bad breath will be greatly reduced, as straighter teeth are easier to keep clean. There’ll be fewer spaces in the mouth that your toothbrush finds tricky to access. So the chances of unnecessary tooth decay are also reduced.

At Simply Teeth in Essex, braces are seen as an investment in your overall oral health. Much more than just a cosmetic improvement, they look after your wellbeing by lessening the chances of future dental problems. And these improvements can be achieved using a variety of subtle and relatively speedy methods. We’d be delighted to hear from you today, to take the first step towards having braces in Essex.

If time is of the essence, then you need Fastbraces

Here at Simply Teeth in Essex, braces come in various systems. We offer this variety because we know that our patients have different dental and lifestyle needs. One of the systems we offer at our 3 practices in Ilford, Stansted and Stanford-le-Hope is Fastbraces.

Fastbraces are perfect for you if time is of the essence. Maybe you have an important event coming up in the next few months and you need braces. In Essex, looking your best is of increasing importance and at Simply Teeth, we are here to help you achieve the best smile you can.

Braces in EssexWhat you need to know about Fastbraces

Fastbraces is an American system of braces in Essex, renowned for the speed with which they can straighten teeth, even in as little as 120 days, or 4 months. Unlike other adult braces systems, which are aimed at straightening the front 6 ‘social teeth’, the main aim of Fastbraces is to deal with more complicated bite issues. These include:

  • High canines – this is a common problem of canine teeth growing over the top of other teeth when there’s not enough room in the arch for them;
  • Crowding – when teeth overlap because there is not enough room in the arch for them;
  • Open bite – when the front teeth on upper and lower jaws do not make contact;
  • Over bite – when the front upper teeth protrude over the lower front teeth;
  • Spacing – gaps between the teeth due to size or extractions;
  • Cross bite – the upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth.

If left untreated, over the years all of these issues can lead to problems. Plaque and food can be harder to remove with brushing, which can lead to decay, infection and tooth loss. There is also a greater chance of gum disease, which can lead to tooth loss. Bite problems often cause jaw problems, which in turn lead to pain and headaches.

If you are an adult suffering with one or more of these alignment issues and would like to get them fixed but don’t want to have to wear braces for an extended period of time, then this system of braces in Essex might be perfect for you. Why not pop in and find out?

Just half a year can make a lifetime of difference to your smile

If you look around at the people you see every day in Essex, braces have probably played an important role in many of their lives. It may look like more and more people are being born with beautifully natural, white straight teeth, but the truth is most of us have misaligned teeth, even if only slightly so.

The difference these days is that in Essex, braces for adults are increasingly popular, affordable, and discreet, so often you don’t spot people wearing braces, you just have an impression of lovely teeth everywhere you look.

Braces in EssexAt the 3 Simply Teeth dental practices – in Ilford, Stansted and Stanford-le-Hope – we have helped create many of those smiles, using a brilliant and quick braces system called Six Month Smiles. This is of one of the world’s most popular braces treatments. It takes the best elements of traditional braces, but reapplies them using modern materials and techniques.

This discreet braces system is perfect for adults have no serious problems with their bite, but whose front 6 teeth, known as the ‘social teeth’ because they are the ones most on display, need some straightening.

So how does it work?

In Essex, braces from Six Month Smiles straighten the teeth using discreet fixed braces. These achieve results faster than removable aligners. They feature clear ceramic brackets and tooth-coloured titanium-nickel wires so that they blend in with your teeth. The brackets are fixed to the teeth at particular angles and along with the wires, use standard mechanics to move the teeth. However, Six Month Smiles braces use much gentler forces than traditional braces because they only need to straighten the teeth, rather than alter the bite. Gentler forces also mean less pain and less chance of damage to the tooth roots.

With no need to alter the bite, the treatment takes between 4 and 9 months, rather a year or even longer. Shorter treatments mean fewer visits to us at Simply Teeth and therefore a lower cost for you.

Once your teeth have reached alignment, you will need to wear a removable retainer to anchor them in place. If you keep forgetting to put that retainer in, you can have a bonded retainer fitted, which is hidden from view.

Straighter teeth fast with Fastbraces

Most people look forward to getting out of their braces much more than they look forward to getting into them. With Fastbraces at Simply Teeth in Essex, that day comes sooner and at a lower cost than ever before.

Achieving a great smile with traditional braces is often an expensive, two-year ordeal. With Fastbraces, your treatment with braces in Essex can take less than a year from start to finish. Some people have even seen results in as little as 3 months! This means you can take less time off work and school for dental visits, saving you both time and money.

Straighter Teeth in EssexFastbraces versus traditional braces

Fastbraces can be used by anyone, including teenagers and adults. It works well for any of our patients looking to straighten their teeth with braces in Essex. Fastbraces require less time to straighten your teeth and are less expensive, when compared to traditional braces.

Fastbraces technology has been in use for 20 years and thousands of people have been able to take advantage of it with visible results. Our patients who choose Fastbraces do so because they work quickly, efficiently and comfortably to achieve the desired results.

They are specifically designed to move the root and the crown of the tooth at the same time during treatment. Traditional braces move the crown of the tooth in the first year and the root of the tooth in the second year, which is why treatment takes longer.

Fastbraces not only speed up teeth straightening compared to traditional braces in Essex, but they also create less sensitivity. They use patented triangle-shaped brackets to create great results with little discomfort.

Fastbraces are here to help you get the smile you have been dreaming of. Your straighter and healthier smile is now closer than ever.

Simply Teeth can make you smile!

Do you have crooked or misaligned teeth that you are considering straightening? Six Month Smiles at Simply Teeth is popular treatment for adults who want to align crooked teeth with braces in Essex. They use effective tooth-coloured braces to gently guide teeth into straight alignment over a short period of time.

What makes Six Month Smiles different from conventional braces?

Braces in EssexConventional metal braces are considered to look unsightly and are not a subtle approach to teeth straightening. What’s more they can take two to three years to complete your treatment. As the name implies, with Six Month Smiles the average treatment time is just 6 months. This is why Six Month Smiles is a popular treatment when it comes to braces in Essex.

How do they work so quickly?

During your consultation, our dentists will only concentrate on the teeth that show most prominently when you smile, generally known as the ‘social six’. By focusing on just these teeth, treatment time is shortened because there is no need to make significant changes to your bite system.

This means that by moving only a few of your teeth and making some small adjustments, a significant aesthetic result will be achieved. All you need to do us is visit us at Simply Teeth every 2 to 4 weeks to have your braces adjusted. It will gently align your teeth to reveal a smile with straight teeth front and centre.

That sounds painful!

Most of our patients tell us that the feeling of having braces fitted to their teeth is unusual, rather than painful. This is something that you will become used to. Your gums may feel inflamed or sore for a few days after treatment, but a painkiller such as ibuprofen will ease these symptoms.

We hope your mind is now made up to finally get your braces in Essex. We can even offer our patients a free consultation, where you can discuss any issues you may have with our dental professionals. If that isn’t enough to swing it for you, maybe free teeth whitening with all Six Month Smiles treatments will? Bucking the trend with braces in Essex

Sometimes it can be hard to relate a seemingly harmless habit such as thumb sucking with long term problems with your teeth. Many parents allow their child to continue sucking their thumbs once their teeth start to grow because it helps their child to get to sleep, and it can be a difficult habit to break. Unfortunately, because your bones are soft and flexible as a child, the long-term action of sucking on your thumb or a dummy can cause your lower jaw to tilt inwards and your upper teeth to start to protrude as you grow.

Braces in EssexBecause we are unable to turn back time, we have to live with the unexpected results of these habits. The good news is that you do not have to live with buck teeth or a misaligned bite any longer. Many adults are now beginning to realise that braces can give them a smile to be proud of. Here at Simply Teeth in Essex, braces are becoming popular with more of our adult patients as they recognise the benefits to their appearance, confidence and oral health.

Braces: a well proven solution

Braces can be used in many different ways; to close gaps between teeth, straighten crooked teeth and realign your bite. There are now two basic types of brace, fixed and removable, and there are a wide range of brands within these groups. You may find that your particular orthodontic needs will influence the type of brace that your dentist will offer you.

Although we regard braces as a mainly aesthetic treatment, they play an important role in dental care. Crooked, crowded teeth and an uneven bite can lead to a range of problems. These include uneven wear and tear on individual teeth, malocclusion where your teeth don’t mesh correctly; this can lead to difficulties with biting and chewing food properly. In addition, you can also develop conditions such as headaches and jaw joint problems.

Turn the dream of straighter teeth into reality

Wearing braces has become so much easier, they are discreet and allow you to enjoy the long-term benefits for many years to come. If you would like to find out more about how you could benefit from having braces in Essex, come and talk to us here at Simply Teeth

Straighter teeth using braces in Essex

Few of us are fortunate enough to have really straight teeth, in fact it has been suggested that at least a third of all adults would benefit from having their teeth straightened. There are many reasons why our adult teeth do not grow evenly. Childhood habits such as thumb sucking as your adult teeth are growing can cause problems with your bite.

braces-in-essexThe good news for many adults is that being the proud owner of a straighter smile can be achieved. Because of the new technologies that are available to make braces, it is no longer necessary to put up with badly aligned and crooked teeth. Having your teeth straightened makes good sense: as well as making you feel more confident, straight teeth are generally much easier to care for, and can improve the appearance of your face as well as your teeth.

Tell me more about having braces in Essex

If you are thinking about having braces, you will need to be aware of the need to take extra care of your teeth throughout the treatment. Deciding to have your teeth straightened can be a big commitment in terms of time and effort. Depending on the type of braces your dentist recommends, you may need to have regular appointments for the braces to be adjusted.

If you have opted for a removable brace, you will need to make sure that you wear the aligners for a minimum of 20hours each day. This means that you should only remove the retainers to eat and to clean your teeth. Whichever type of brace you wear, you will need to pay extra attention to your oral health routine. If you neglect this, you may end up with stains or marks on your teeth or problems with your gums.

It’s time for that grown-up smile now

If the idea of traditional train-track braces is the reason that you have never considered having your teeth straightened in the past, you will see that there is no reason to live with crooked teeth any longer. Many adults are now embracing the chance to have a smile to be proud of and choosing to have straighter teeth now. To find out more about braces, Essex dentists Simply teeth can tell you everything you need to know.

All about braces in Essex

You could be forgiven for thinking that braces are a relatively new idea, but you would be wrong. There is archaeological evidence that people have been using some form of braces for 2000 years or more. These braces were made from a variety of materials including gold wires and linen threads. The real study of orthodontic treatment began in the 18th and 19th centuries.

braces-in-essexThe principles behind the use of braces has never changed. By fixing wires or other materials to the teeth, your dentist is able to apply gentle pressure to your teeth. It is this pressure that gently adjusts the position of your teeth over a period of time. If you have been thinking about having your teeth straightened and would like to find out more about braces in Essex, we will be happy to advise you on the best option for you.

Something old, something new

Although all braces use the same principle to realign your teeth, the materials used have definitely changed. We are all familiar with the train-track style of braces worn by many children; they are obtrusive and difficult to ignore. The use of teeth-coloured wires and brackets in the case of fixed braces, or clear plastic retainers for removable types eliminates this problem.

Traditional, obtrusive braces are one of the reasons that many adults decide not to have their teeth straightened. Another reason for living with crooked, gappy or uneven teeth is the amount of time that it takes to complete the treatment. This is something else that has changed for the better. In many cases it is possible to have straight teeth in just six months.

Getting straight to the point

Depending on your personal requirements, it may only be necessary to straighten your front teeth. If your teeth are crowded, we may advise you that a small amount of enamel is shaved from some of your teeth. This is often enough to allow your teeth to be straightened, in more complex situations it may be necessary to remove teeth. We always regard this as a last resort, and will always do our best to find a better solution.
